We began our business in 2006 as an advertising company, primarily focusing on graphic design and artwork for both companies and individuals. In 2015, we expanded our services to include web design in Sri Lanka. Today, we offer web design, graphic design, SEO services, and commercial photography to our clients.

Rasika Thenuwara is the CEO and Managing Director of Web Solutions Lanka Holdings (Pvt) Ltd. He also serves as the Managing Director of Lion Tech Solutions (Pvt) Ltd. When we established our web design firm, we brought a wealth of experience in advertising and marketing, which has significantly contributed to our success. Web Solutions Lanka is now a well-known web design brand in Sri Lanka.

In addition to his business ventures in Sri Lanka, Rasika Thenuwara is active in international business. He is a shareholder of Intercontinental Commercial Enterprises Ltd. in the UK. Through this company, he assists Sri Lankan businesses in establishing themselves in the UK, Europe, and the USA. He also seeks investors to support Sri Lankan businesses and helps introduce Sri Lankan products to international markets.

Our Story

We have an interesting story to share with you.

As mentioned earlier, until 2015, we were solely a graphic design firm and had never undertaken a web design project. However, one day, a client named Mr. Chamith, the owner of Colombo Taxi, asked us, “Can you create a website for us?”

Rasika Thenuwara, the owner of Web Solutions Lanka, saw this as a great opportunity to venture into a new business area. He candidly told Mr. Chamith that although we had never developed a website before, we were confident we could do it but needed some time to learn the process. Mr. Chamith agreed and entrusted us with the task.

Rasika, being a fast learner, took several online courses on designing websites with WordPress. Before working on the client’s website, we decided to develop our own website first to ensure that the client’s site would be of high quality.

This marked the beginning of our web design journey. The initial website we created for Colombo Taxi was not as polished as the ones we design today, but Mr. Chamith was satisfied with it. Recently, we redesigned their website free of charge and continue to provide free hosting for as long as Colombo Taxi needs it. We will never forget our beginnings and are deeply grateful to Mr. Chamith for helping us open the doors to a new business venture.

Now, we are not limited to WordPress; we have expanded our services to include custom website system design using various programming languages. Additionally, we develop mobile apps, including popular taxi and delivery apps.
